AboutMarita is from Malmo, Sweden. Lives in France since 1992.She blows glass, explodes coffee pots, and tortures commonplace objects to imprison them in resin, and all this becomes art.Although her name may be misleading, Marita Occelli is in fact Swedish; she lives in Villefranche-sur-Mer and works in Nice.Her glass and ceramic works are on display in galleries across Sweden, Monaco, and France.Marita has a passion for design, interior design, and the placing of volumes in space.She distills light and iridescence in her colored glass inclusions and in her wine and champagne bottles sealed in resin.In ceramics, Marita transforms familiar objects into colorful series with a distinct sculptural feel.
